Donut Boys outplayed Kings IX by 5-1 goals to move into the semi-final of the 1st Sepoy Nicolas Nine A Side Memorial Football Cup 2023 organised by Heigrutampak Village Authority along with DSA Chandel at Heigrutampak Ground.
The quarter final match saw Donut Boys taking a grip on the match from the first whistle and managed to fire home the first salvo in the 16th minute from Kenphasha and just two minute later, he consolidated his team score with the second goal.
Providing little breather for the Kings IX, the marauding Donut Boys pushed further ahead with Shingval getting the third goal in the 23rd minute to dominate the proceedings. However, Kings IX got their rare opening in the 27th minute as Kaga struck out of the blue.
Donut Boys flared up even more and Kenphasha seemed unstoppable as he slammed home the fourth goal (his hattrick) in the 31st minute and added one more to his goal tally in the 58th minute for the comfortable win.
Donut Boys players Shetngam, Morningson and Kings IX player Kaga got yellow cards in the match. The semi-final matches will start from Friday.
