Kanankhu YC edge out Kapaam FC by 3-0 goals to move into the pre-quarter final of the DC Chandel Trophy Football Tournament 2021 organised by DSA Chandel at Mini Stadium, Chandel.

The second round match witnessed Kanankhu team taking the early lead from TS Marson who scored in the 4 minutes of play to dominate the first-half proceedings.

Kanankhu team who had the most ball possession in the game, did further damage, picking up their second goal from a goalmouth melee after Kapaam player Vanlinglean conceded an own goal in the 47 minutes to give Kanankhu YC 2 goals lead.

Minutes later, Kanankhu goalscorer TS Marson made matters worse for Kanankhu as he slammed home the winning goal in the 51 minutes to ride into the pre-quarter final in style. Kanankhu players RD Rutha, BD Thangni and Kapaam player Roel got a yellow card each from referee Th.Joysing Monsang for dangerous play.

In the other matches, United LFC routed Paraolon YC by 8-0 goals while Riverlane YC beat Modi CSC by 4-1 goals and Ziontlang FC drubbed Chandel Christian YC by 4-0 goals to sail into the pre-quarter final as well.
