Chandel Khullen YC registered a 2-0 win over Lambung YC in the opening match of the DC Chandel Trophy First Division Tournament 2023-24 organised by DSA Chandel at District Sports Complex, Chandel Christian.
The winning goals for Chandel Khullen was possible in the second half with Lominkhup Aimol getting the opening goal in the 57th minute and Leopa fetching the second goal in 90th+2nd minute for the victory.
In the second match, Sulam Area SA got the better of Riverlane YC by 2-1 goals. HL Anhjoyhring got the opening goal for the Riverlane YC team in the 17th minute for the lead.
However, in the second half, Sulam Area SA raced up with Sh. Anthony getting the equaliser in the 65th minute and later delivered the winning goal in 90th+2nd minute, to collect full points.
Ten teams are participating in the league.
