Cyclone Thangmeiband swept away SCCC Singjamei Thongam Leikai by 91 runs in the 6th MNCA W Prahlada and W Ramananda Elite Tournament 2021-22 played at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium, Luwangsangbam on Sunday.

Cyclone Thangmeiband displayed disciplined batting as opener Narsing Yadav gave a good start hitting 38 runs off 37 balls while Jenpu Kamei got 17 runs to lay a solid foundation. Later, Kishan Laishram contributed 32 runs and Bikash Singh remained not out with 66 runs from 54 balls, to post 208 runs for 7 wickets from 40 overs.

SCCC bowler Pinkey Sanasam, Lishan Meitei Kh claimed 2 wickets each while Rakeshwar Republic and Abdul Kasim fetched 1 wicket each.

Chasing the target, SCCC top order batsman made their effort with JA Chisti making 19 runs while Sandeep Chakraborty hit 20 runs and Rohit Singh Moirangthem remain not out with 29 runs, but failed to reached the target as wickets fell at regular interval at the other end, to win their inning at 117 runs for 10 wickets from 38.4 overs.

Cyclone Thangmeiband bowler Th Akshaykumar claimed 4 wickets for 22 runs while M Raju got 2 wickets, Bikash, Suraj, Kishan and Ronald took 1 wicket each. Cyclone Thangmeiband hard hitting batsman Bikash Singh was adjudged the Man of the Match for his unbeaten 66 runs and 1 wicket.
