Four state cricketers were honoured in the first North East Cricket Development Committee( NECDC) Achiever's Nite hosted by Nagaland Cricket Association at Niathu Resort, Dimapur on Saturday.
The four cricketers Nitesh Sedai, Waikhom Ganga Devi and Pheiroijam Jotin Singh were awarded Best Batter in Senior Men's, Senior Women's and Under -19 Boys category while Mangsatabam Chingkhei Chanu was awarded Best Bowler in Senior Women's category.
The NECDC also acknowledged the contribution made by Manipur Cricket Association towards the development of Cricket in Manipur and the region in general and commended officials of MNCA as well.
Former MNCA founder secretary S Priyananda Singh and incumbent secretary Ksh Peter, founder members Col ( Retd) Soram Tekendrajit, Ch Chaoba Singh, vice president L Binoy Singh, treasurer L Ronel, joint aecretary K Bobin, general member Th Tommy and cricket operation L Lalitchandra were also present in the gathering.
An exhibition match of T-20 between NECDC Titans and NECDC Warriors, comprising players from the region was held to mark the occasion.
