CRAU batsman Mehtab Jamal bats to victory

CRAU middle order batsman Mehtab Jamal’s hard hitting unbeaten strikes of 78 runs helped beat Force Kshetrigao by 6 wickets in the 6th MNCA W Prahalada and W Ramananda Elite Tournament 2021-22 played at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium, Luwangsangbam.

Earlier in the day, Force Kshetrigao after winning the toss, made 205 runs for 10 wickets from 39.1 overs with opener Saddam Ahmed Shah swinging his bat to make 77 runs from 69 balls. Th Nishikanta Singh contributed 24 runs while Arshad Ali and Md Islauddin got 17 runs each.

CRAU Khamnam Bazar bowler T Kala grabbed 3 wickets for 35 runs while Mehtab Jamal and L Ajay Singh claimed 2 wickets each.

In reply, CRAU batsman batted sensibly as both openers Dennis Kh contributed 33 runs while Inikhil made 32 runs for an opening partnership of 65 runs. Down the order, after losing two quick wickets, Kh Bimol took charge getting 33 unbeaten runs from 49 balls along with Mehtab Jamal, who too smashed an unbeaten 78 runs from 40 deliveries to steer their team to a convincing victory.

Force bowler Md Alfash claimed 3 wickets while Tashib Alam picked up 1 wickets but not enough to save the match. Later CRAU player Mehtab Jamal was declared the Man of the Match for his all round performance, bagging 2 wickets from 7.1 overs and 78 unbeaten runs from 40 balls.
