Chumbang FC upset Hnahringkhu YC by 6-4 goals in the ADC Chandel Trophy Super Division 2023-24 played at Liwa Sarei Ground.
Hnahringkhu YC are taking control of the first half with 3-2 goals lead but they seem to lose their steam in the second half as Chumbang FC picked up and dominated the game later to win.
Alover provided the lead for Hnahringkhu team with the opening goal in 7 minute and later Warlongam in 9 minute and TS Warkham in 24 minute followed suit. However Chumbang FC reduced the margin with Angthot in 31 minute and Ahong Khiang in 40+2 minute to stay in the limelight.
However the pace of the game changed completely as Chumbang FC player Ahong Khiang was let loose, striking three goals in 54th, 80+1 and 80+5 minute and Marim Henry contributed one goal in 64 minute to put them ahead. The fourth goal for Hnahringkhu team was fetched by TS Warkham in 80 minute.
In the second match, Anbilish Trust FC managed 2-2 goals against Kapaam DC, to share points. Mongampha got the early lead for Anbilish Trust in 27 minute and later got a bonus goal from Chungzeer in the 37 minute.
However Kapaam DC let out their fury with Jordan connecting to the goal in 40+1 minute and Lian fetching the equaliser in 58 minute for the drawn results.
DC First Division: Chandel Khullen YC drubbed Liwa Khullen YC by 7-0 goals in the DC Chandel Trophy First Division Tournament 2023-24 played at Sports Complex, Chandel.
Leopa, Lonpa struck twice while Rengsingam, Chand and Lahring fetched a goal each for Chandel Khullen team.
