Chandonpokpi YFC rattled Angkhel Chayang YCC by 5-0 goals to collect full points in the DC Chandel Trophy Second Division Football Tournament 2023 organised by DSA Chandel at Sports Complex, Chandel.
Chandonpokpi enjoyed an early lead from Lungam in the 6th minute and further boosted its morale when SK Bungthang conceded an own goal in the 22nd minute. Jailin increased the lead for Chandonpokpi with the third goal in the 29th minute.
The second half proved more fruitful for the Chandonpokpi with Thaosel (70th minute) and Thaolen (75th minute) netted a goal each for the victory. Three Angkhel Chayang players viz. DB Angpol, TH Rengshel and Shetringam got yellow cards in the match.
In the other matches, Ziontlang SYC thrashed Heibunglok YCC by 6-1 goals while Cheengkhu YC got the better of Penaching YDC by 2-1 goals to garnered full points.
Western Soldong FC drew Mon CSC with 2 goals each to share a point each played at Liwa Sarei Ground.
PUSA came up with 5-1 goals over Soltang FC while Kotal Khunthak YC beat Riindamkhuw SC by 4-2 goals to gain full points as well.
