USA Khurai thrashed TRUGPU Nambol by 4-1 goals in the 2nd AMFA Cup 2022 played at Artificial Turf, Lamlong Thongkhong.

USA Khurai, which has been in a solitude for quite some time, made an impressive return to the turf when Kh Hemlet found the opening goal in the 3rd minute of the play.  

The TRUGPU Nambol outfit who seemed to having a tough time in making a firm footing in the game, went further down as USA pounded them with attack after attack, to move ahead with Shamjetshabam Boy Singh find the gaps to slides home the second goal in the 33rd minute and yet again, booted home the third goal in the injury time of 45 plus 2nd minute to post 3 goals lead in first half.

With the crowd support joining in from every corner of the gallery, USA made further mincemeat of TRUPGU team when forward Shamjetshabam Boy Singh, once again dazzles, volleying home his hattrick goal in the 66th minute to dominate the proceedings with a 4 goals lead.

However, TRUGPU Nambol made a desperate dive to its rival territory and was able to come up with the face saving goal from Bidyananda Meitei in the 69th minute, but that proved too late to save the match. USA player Th Suraj Meitei got booked with a yellow card in the match.

In another match, Angtha FC blanked Football Club Lamjao by 3-0 goals to pick up full points.

Midfielder Reisangmei Khodang chipped in with two goals in the 35th minute including a penalty goal in the 88th minute while M Somokanta fetched one goal in the 45 plus 2nd minute. Angtha player Y Indranath and Lamjao player H Rishiraj Singh got yellow cards in the game.
