Loyangamba Meitei Akoijam gave the lead for AFC in the 26th minute in the first and later L Roshan fetched the second goal in the 60th minute and N Sushilkumar wrapped up the match with his goal in the 90th+4 minute for the wholesome win.
Neroca FC also caught up with Sang-Gai Football School, Angtha by 2-1 goals at Artificial Turf. Neroca FC, battling hard in the league, found the rhythm right in the 14th minute of play, when unmarked W Amekar on the right, anticipated a cross, to tap home the opening goal.
Sang-Gai FS who seemed lost in the match, found themselves in deeper trouble when L Boynao brought down Amekar, resulting in a penalty in the 30th minute. L Suraj made no mistake to convert it to perfection for Neroca FC.
However Sang-Gai FS felt lightened when substitute player N Rohijit Singh got the lone goal in the 90th+5 minute. Three Sangai-Gai players and two Neroca FC players got yellow cards in the match.
In another match played at DSA Kakching, North Eastern Sporting Union, Porompat pulled off a 2-1 goals win against Tiddim Road Athletic Union, Kwakeithel to top Group B with 13 points. The real action of the match was felt in the second half play when NESU Porompat player Ph Sanathoi ruffled the net in the 55th minute and later Kh Umakanta got the second break in the 64th minute to take a grip in the match. The lone goal for TRAU was fetched by Rishi in the 63rd minute.
While NACO Nambul Mapal beat Young PhysiqueS Union, Lalambung 1-0. Sekhar Tensubam Meetei provided the lone winning goal in the 54th minute of the game. NACO and YPHU have collected 6 points from five games.
