After a week-long break following heavy downpour, the 4th Thadou Trophy at Saparmeina public ground resumed on Monday with Phaikoh FC, The Legends and KFA registering wins over their respective opponents.
Phaikoh FC had a narrow 1-0 win over Bongbal XI in the first match with Mangmin scoring the lone winning goal in the 18th minute.
In the second match, The Legends thrashed Chungkam FC 6-1 with Worchungpei Kashung shining for the Legends, scoring a hattrick (45th, 48th, and 34th) after Haolengou's 3rd minute and Haoneo's 10th-minute strike. Nabin Rana also scored for The Legends in the 46th-minute goal. Earlier in the 13th minute, Paojangam scored one for Chungkam FC.
In the third match, Songpu Singsit scored four goals in the 16th, 26th, 37th, and 40th minutes while his teammates Ginkholen (45th) and Benjamin (49th) added to the score sheet Kuki Football Academy an easy win over S. Molcham Youth Club.
On Tuesday, Haipi Youth Athletics will play Tahchapa FC in the first match, while the Dynamo Athletics Club B team will take on The Legends in the second match. TASA will play K. Gamnomphai Youth Club in the third match, and TYPOM will play Dr. Nehginpao Memorial Team in the fourth match.
