Rising Athletic Union, Lairikyengbam Leikai held on Asufii Football Academy, Mao by 1-1 goals to share one point each in the ongoing 1st Premier League 2023-24 played at Artificial Turf, Lamlong Thongkhong.
The Rising Athletic Union who had a string of defeats, put up a strong performance tackling the formidable Asufii FA, who got the early lead from Samson in the 20th minute.
Putting their best effort in the second half, the team took more risk as a draw will do lots more good than defeat. A flank run saw them making the right strike with substitute Ng Jiten scoring the equaliser in the 53rd minute to hold tight till the final whistle for the drawn results.
In another match, Classic Football Academy Chingmeirong and Football Club Raengdai, Noney had to settle for a goalless draw to share one point each. Both teams had tough situations as none of their strikes to the goal, failed to get the right direction in the match.
FC Raengdai lost Kh Taibanganba to a direct red card in the 67th minute while Lansingam Reamei and Classic FA player Md Wazid Khan received yellow cards in the match.
