PTRC Patsoi registered a 5 wickets victory over MPA Thounaojam in the 1st MNCA Under 14 Boys Tournament 2021-22 played at PCC, Mayaikoibi Ground, Imphal West on Thursday.
The MPA team after being sent into bat first, relied heavily on Ch Albish who struck 34 runs after the loss of batsman Chinglensana for 2 runs. The top order did resist the bowling attack of PTRC but Th Suhan and Moramba Ch managed to make identical scores of 18 runs. But once they departed, wickets fell apart to post 152 runs for 7 wickets from 30 overs.
PTRC bowlers L James, Lamnganba Ph grabbed 2 wickets each while S Richie and Bedabiyas got 1 wicket each.
In reply, PTRC shone with opener S Richie quick firing 45 runs from 36 balls while Robinson S making 18 runs to reach the target in 20.5 overs for the loss of 5 wickets.
Stoneson got 19 runs while L Jackson remained not out with 14 runs for the victory.MPA bowlers Moramba Ch and Suraj M claimed 2 wickets each while Th Suhan got 1 wicket.
PTRC batsman Salam Richie was declared the Man of the Match for his 45 runs knock and 1 wicket haul.
