RCA Lilong snubbed out KASC Khomidok by 114 runs, to register their fifth win in the 1st MNCA Superplate Tournament 2022 played at Langthabal Public Ground, Imphal West.

Playing their seventh match, RCA Lilong is relatively in a safer zone with the win, taking the second slot with 10 points from Group B. However, for the KASC team, they are in the danger zone, placed at the bottom with a win from seventh matches.

RCA Lilong after being pushed into bat first, made 215 runs for 10 wickets with middle order Md Aqeel smashing 75 runs from 52 balls while BM Saba Khan made 29 runs. Md Shariff contributed 22 runs and Imran Khan got 21 runs.

KASC bowlers BM Irfan captured 4 wickets for 47 runs while Md Farijuddin claimed two wickets among the top wicket takers.

KASC batsman in their reply managed 101 runs for 10 wickets from 28.1 overs with Azan Khan top scoring with 27 runs while Md Babu made 20 runs. The pick among the RCA bowlers was Md Aqeel who claimed 5 wickets for 10 runs from 8 overs and was later adjudged Man of the Match while BM Saba Khan and Naesh Hussian took 2 wickets each.

In the other match played at Model Higher Secondary and Oriental College Ground, Imphal West PSC Khuyathong beat KSDO Kiyamgei by 6 wickets.

In a low scoring match, KSDO after being sent into bat first, made 63 runs for 10 wickets from 16.4 overs. Hamza made 15 before being ruled out for a hit wicket decision. PSC bowlers M Vicky claimed 4 wickets while L Prasantajit and L Martin bagged 3 wickets each.

PSC team reached the target easily in 14.4 overs at the expense of 4 wickets with L Prasantajit Sharma guiding his team to victory with an unbeaten 29 runs, and he was later declared the Man of the Match. KSDO bowler Hamza took 2 wickets while Shamir Khan and Tarique fetched 1 wicket each.

ESU Wangkhei Palace Compound also posted 3 wickets win over MPSC Manipur Central Jail played at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium.

MPSC batted first to put up 138 runs for 10 wickets from 37.5 overs with K Kenedy hitting 35 runs while S Shanker got 28 runs among the top run getters. ESU bowlers Hemchand Yumnam, Chitaranjan Sharma and Nanao claimed 3 wickets each.

Chasing the target, ESU top order batsman put up spirited performances with Ch Mehul smashing 58 runs while K Poirei Federick made 26 runs and H Joykishan Sharma got 24 runs to reach the target in 36.2 overs for 7 wickets. MPSC bowlers S Kingson, S Shanker claimed 2 wickets each while Rojit and Kenedy picked up 1 wickets each. ESU player Mehul was declared the Man of the Match.
