ZCO appeals to government and striking doctors to consider sufferings of people

Zeliangrong Baudi appealed to the government to consider the demands raised by the medical doctors considering the suffering of the common people.

The Zeliangrong Civil Organisations (ZCO) said that the indefinite strike imposed by the medical doctors for the last 10 days has extremely impacted the economically distressed hill people of the state.

In a press release, ZCO said that people of the hill districts have been facing great inconvenience especially in the absence of other alternative healthcare services in the hill districts unlike in the State capital Imphal and other valley districts where numerous private hospitals, diagnostic centres, healthcare centres and clinics are available round the clock.

The ZCO also appealed to the government to consider the demands raised by the medical doctors and explore every way to fulfil their demands considering the sufferings of the common people.

The ZCO also strongly urged the doctors to consider the sufferings of the common people and to abide by their chosen profession with responsibility and commitment in the service of humanity.

It is important to remember that human lives are more precious and immeasurable than anything else and cannot be substituted, the release added.

The Zeliangrong Baudi and Zeliangrong Youth Front in the interest of the common people strongly urge the state government to consider the sufferings of the common people and to take up definite and concrete measure to ease the sufferings of the common people and to bring an end to the indefinite strike and put the agitating medical doctors to resume their duty at the earliest possible.
