The Coordinating Committee on Manipur Integrity (COCOMI) has asserted that they will leave no stone unturned to maintain status quo of the age-old tradition of coexistence of people of Manipur.
Representatives of the committee, Kh Athouba and Jitendra Ningombam held a meeting with Governor Anusuiya Uikey on Tuesday regarding the prevailing situation in the state, said a release from the governor’s secretariat.
During the meet, the governor lamented over the incidents in the state and further said that the authorities concerned are endeavouring day and night to transport the affected victims at different relief camps to their respective places safely, it stated.
She also lauded the state government and security forces for their relentless efforts to contain the violence in a peaceful manner, it added.
Meanwhile, representatives of the committee also put forward suggestions to the Governor for ways and means to solve the issue amicably so as to bring normalcy in the state, the release mentioned.
