The NSCN-K (Niki Sumi) group stated that a delegation of Zeliangrong frontal organisations of Assam, Manipur and Nagaland including officials of Zeliangrong Union (AMN), All Zeliangrong Students Union (AMN) and Rongmei Naga Student’s Organisation called on NSCN-K president, general (retired) Niki Sumi and ato kilonser Ino Starson Lamkang at Dimapur on Tuesday.
Having a fruitful and positive meeting with the tribal leaders, the collective leadership reaffirmed its stand on peace and unity of all sections of the Naga society and reminded the tribal leaders that the NSCN/GPRN stands for unity first, solution second, NSCN-K (Niki Sumi) stated in a release.
The collective leadership reiterated that Naga people of all Naga inhabited areas must be one in spirit and in deeds and seek the inherent rights of the people, it stated. Urging the tribal leaders to continue to strive for united Nagas, the collective leadership pointed out that leaders of the Naga civil societies have a crucial role to play to bring the Naga people for one common goal, it mentioned.
It mentioned that the Zeliangrong delegation expressed their solidarity on Naga people’s desire for peace and unity among the Nagas irrespective of boundary demarcation and for solution to age-old Naga political struggle and assured the leadership of all possible cooperation towards the betterment of the Naga people.
Besides, Niki Sumi and Ino Starson Lamkang, deputy C-in-C, NSCN/GPRN Ino Mansi Kamei spoke at the meeting that was chaired by secretary to the NSCN/GPRN Ino Inovi Naga, it further stated.
The meeting concluded with a vote thanks proposed by Ino kilo kilonser, NSCN/GPRN Zheshito Swu and the benediction was pronounced by speaker, National Tatar Hoho, NSCN/GPRN Ino Mhonbemo Tsangnlao, it added.
