The Naga Hoho has expressed its shock by the "inhuman act" of some miscreants who attacked and vandalised the office of the Naga Students' Federation (NSF) in Kohima in the wee hours of May 27.
In a statement, the Naga Hoho said the NSF office holds the Naga political history, sentiments and emotions of every Naga. "And therefore, the attack is a murder to the future Naga generation," the Naga Hoho added.
The Naga Hoho then said the attack carried out at night by some "anti Naga elements proves the motives behind their action", while adding, "It is an attack on our legacy, history and traditions,".
The Naga Hoho then said it is a tragedy and the darkest chapter in the history of the Nagas. "We hang our head in shame," it also said.
The Naga Hoho then condemned the "barbaric act" and appealed to the concerned authority to immediately act against such perpetrators and award befitting punishment.
