A massive fire outbreak burnt down a church at Pfutsero in Phek district of Nagaland early Tuesday, according to reports.
A fire broke out at the Chakhesang Mission Centre Church around 3 am Tuesday, sources said, adding that the cause of the fire outbreak is yet to be ascertained. Some locals say that it was caused by short circuit, according to reports.
"Massive fire ravages Chakhesang Mission Church at Pfutsero under Phek district in Nagaland at around around 3 AM this morning... the fire was caused by electric short circuit. So far no loss of life or injury was reported," the Nagaland Express tweeted.
Pfutsero, situated at an altitude of 2233.60 metres ASL and about 70 km away from Kohima, is the coldest town in Nagaland with the temperature dropping below 0°C on some nights during the cold months.
