Talking about the song to the media persons present, he said the lyrics is inspired by the current crisis.
“The lyrics in my songs are facts. All the songs are from the intellectual and reports from media”, Tapta said.
He plans to sing 10 songs related to the present violence. And talking about the current issue, Tapta said that the 10 MLAs who are demanding separate administration from Manipur had stated that they are not indigenous, and so they cannot stay with indigenous (Yelhoume) of Manipur.
He also alleged that the attitude of the Indian government shows that it wants poppy plantation. If the violence is due to the NRC or reserved forest, then they should fight with the government, not with the general public, particularly not with the Meitei community, he said.
