Micheal Luncha Jaila-thang Lom has been formed to honour popular Kuki pop singer Michael Luncha Kipgen with a lifetime achievement at Kangpokpi town on Monday.
Kuki Inpi Kangpokpi district president Jamsei Haokip stressed on the need for such initiatives to acknowledge outstanding figures in the society.
Thadou Youth Association Sadar Hills president Henminlen Hangshing emphasised the need for unity and cooperation to make the programme a grand success while finance secretary of TSA Sadar Hills Ngulmang Singsit assured maximum cooperation to the felicitation committee.
The occasion was also attended by the Kuki Inpi (Sadar Hills), Kuki Students Organisation, Sadar Hills, Thadou Students Association (Sadar Hills), Thadou Youth Association (Sadar Hills) and other dignitaries.
According to the committee, the main felicitation event will be held in October at Brig M Thomas Ground at Kangpokpi District Headquarters.
