Meghalaya cabinet approves enhancement of grant-in-aid for 710 pre-primary schools

Chief Minister Conrad Sangma said the grant-in-aid has been enhanced from Rs 12,000 to Rs 18, 000 for all teachers in pre-primary school level.

Meghalaya cabinet on Friday approved the enhancement of grant-in-aid for 710 pre-primary schools.

Taking to Twitter, Chief Minister Conrad Sangma said the grant-in-aid has been enhanced from Rs 12,000 to Rs 18, 000 for all teachers in pre-primary school level.

"Cabinet has approved the enhancement of Grant-in-aid for 710 Pre-Primary Schools. The  grant-in-aid has been enhanced from ₹12,000 to ₹18, 000 for all teachers in Pre Primary School level," the chief minister tweeted.

CM Conrad Sangma also said in a Facebook post that the cabinet discussed the Captain Williamson Sangma Technical University Amendment Bill which proposes to change the University to Meghalaya’s first state university, i.e., the Capt Williamson Sangma State University.

The cabinet also gave its approval to the Governor’s Address ahead of the upcoming Budget Session, the chief minister added.
