The Zeliangrong Union (AMN) has condemned the alleged killing of ZUF joint secretary Alar Sheikho as well as disruption of the election campaign of intending independent candidate, Alyson Abonmai.

The union strongly denied the atrocity and killing among different UG groups within the Zeliangrong areas, the ZU-AMN stated in a release. It lamented that such elements have disturbed the peaceful atmosphere and impacted panic and fear psychosis among the general populace.

It added that the union has been advocating for peace and social harmony In Zeliangrong Region for many years. It further appealed to all the UG group operating in Zeliangrong areas to restrain from any form of violence and killing as well the stakeholders to refrain from violence, intimidation and disruptive activities during the elections.
