Yuva JD-U executives join BJYM

BJYM, Manipur president M Barish gave a warm welcome to the newly joined members.

A month after five Janata Dal-United (JD-U) MLAs of Manipur joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), various executives of the Yuva JD-U, Manipur, officially joined the BJYM, Manipur at a function held at Thambal Sanglen in Imphal West on Monday.

BJYM, Manipur president M Barish gave a warm welcome to the newly joined members and explained the protocols of being a member of BJYM under the BJP. He apprised the new members to follow the ideology of ‘nation first, party second and self third.’

“As we are now a family, let us all forget the past grudges which were caused by differences of parties at the time of election,” he said. He further called on all the new members to move towards serving the nation and public with pride.

Yuva JD-U, Manipur former secretary M Basu said that they joined BJYM with the ideology of supporting the good deeds taken up in the society by the BJYM under the BJP such as war on drugs, saving the environment and others.

It may be mentioned that after simmering tensions, the JD-U national leader who is also Bihar's CM Nitish Kumar ended the party's alliance with the BJP on August 9. On September 10, the five JD-U MLAs joined the BJP.
