World Meetei Council (WMC) Manipur State Unit in association with Khungang Semgat Sagatpa Lup (KSSL), Lamjao and Lamjao Apunba Meira Paibi Lup (LAMPL) on Monday organised a slogan campaign and awareness programme on the theme ‘Meeyam gi Khollao’ at Panthoibi Shanglen, Lamjao, Kakching district.

The same was held as part of the continuous campaign demanding Scheduled Tribe status for Meetei carried out since April 2, stated a release.

It aimed to draw the attention of the state government to send the two reports for processing ST for the Meetei to the Centre without further delay, it stated.
