A consultative meeting cum political campaign for BJP candidate Preshow MK Shimray of Chingai (ST) assembly constituency was held on Thursday at Halang in Ukhrul district. Shimray, who is also the former deputy speaker of Manipur legislative assembly, said, “We all must join hands together and further strengthen and take the party to greater heights by supporting the candidate which the party had chosen”. He will mount pressure on the government to ensure the ADC election is held at the earliest, he said. The programme was attended by his supporters, BJP leaders, well wishers, party karyakartas and various morchas.
