A state level wildlife photography competition on the theme ‘Wild Mammals of Manipur in their natural habitat’ will be held on October 7 as a part of various competitions to be held in observation of the 70th Wildlife Week.
The Forest department, Manipur on Friday notified that it is celebrating the 70th Wildlife Week on the theme ‘Wildlife Conservation through Co-existence’ from October 2 to 8.
All interested persons are requested to participate in the celebration and also in the various competitions and events, it said.
Wildlife photographers may submit nominations in the prescribed form by 5 pm of September 25, it stated.
It mentioned that application form, Rules and Regulations can be obtained from the department’s website: forest.manipur.forest.gov.in or from the office of PCCF/Wildlife and CWLW, Manipur.
Painting competitions, and essay writing competitions for students will be organised at district levels, it mentioned. Date, venue, and other details may be obtained from the concerned DFOs, it stated.
Nominations for Wildlife Protection Incentive Award 2024 are invited from individuals, civil societies, NGOs/clubs, forest officials etc. for their outstanding contribution to protection and wildlife crime control and prevention. Nominations may be submitted through the concerned DCFs/DFOs by September 20, it added.
