A warrant officer staying at 5-AR outpost at T-Minou under Moreh Police Station in Tengnoupal district allegedly shot dead his colleague who is also a warrant officer by using his service weapon around 9.10 pm on Monday

The deceased has been identified as one Sidartha Sircar ,58, from Assam. He was allegedly shot dead by DS Rawat. The incident reportedly took place inside the barrack of the outpost.
Moreh Police Station has registered a case in connection with the incident, while warrant officer DS Rawat has been arrested. The service weapon has been seized as well.

The body has been deposited to JNIMS Mortuary on Tuesday to carry out post mortem procedure.
