United Meitei Pangal Organisation (UMPO) Manipur on Tuesday condoled the sudden demise of Ima Memchoubi Longjam, president, Poirei Leimarol Meira Paibi Apunba Lup, Manipur.
UMPO in a release stated that, “A mother is the most valued being on earth. She was everyone’s mother. We will all miss her. No one and nothing can fill the void created by the loss of a leader. She was indeed God sent”.
It said that on behalf of the members of this organisation and all peace-loving people who have cooperated with Ima Longjam Memchoubi, offered their sincere condolences to the family of Ima Longjam Memchoubi.
“She was a mentor, a true leader who fought the hard fight. She appeared, yes she fought against discrimination. She fought for all mankind, for our rights, for our future, for our integrity, Time will write her words “ Peaceful Coexistence & Integrity of Manipur ‘’ forever.
Her pain was the pain of this land. This will never be forgotten. Oh! mother You lived long enough to see the fruits of your dedication that you sacrificed for us all. You will never die. Rest in Peace the true and brave leader of this universe”, it mentioned.
