Protestors along NH-2 (Imphal-Dimapur) set ablaze two buses of Rapid Action Force (RAF) at Sapermeina in Kangpokpi district on Tuesday.

It is reported that a group of protestors at Sapermeina in Kangpokpi district stopped the vehicles of central forces around 6.30 pm to check out if there were Meitei in the buses.
It is said the buses were travelling towards Imphal along the National Highway. At least 64 buses including 34 of CRPF were travelling towards Imphal from Dimapur.

The two buses were provided by the state government. They bore the registration number MN-05C-008 and MN-04 P476.
