Two persons were found dead in separate incidents in Imphal West on Thursday and Friday, police sources said.
The police said one of the deceased was reportedly staying at a rented house in Kethelmanbi Makha Leikai under Patsoi Police Station, Imphal West. He was found dead in his room around 8 am Friday.
The deceased has been identified as one Pebam Ranji , 68, son of (L) Lalkanhai from Khurai Chingangbam Leikai. He had been staying alone at the rented house. His body was found heavily decomposed.
Meanwhile, an unidentified man suspected to be a drug user was found dead near the Sulabh Toilet Complex at North AOC under Imphal Police Station around 6.30 am Thursday.
The deceased is yet to be identified, but is suspected to be from the tribal community from his appearance.
The body is 5.7 feet tall, medium sized body and had a fair complexion, grew a chin beard, wore a black colour jacket and black T-shirt and an orange colour shorts.
Both the bodies have been picked up and kept at RIMS mortuary, police said.
