Imphal West district police and women of Khwairamband Ima market planted tree saplings in Imphal on Saturday.

The tree sapling plantation drive was conducted as a part of the celebration of 75 years of India’s Independence (Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav).

The drive was conducted at Kangla along with the state Forest department and Archaeological department along the eastern side of Bir Tikendrajit Park with women vendors of Khwairamband Ima Market.

Similar drives were also conducted at all the police stations, including police outposts, as per sources.
