All 38 people, who were hospitalised following suspected case of food poisoning in Thoubal district, have recovered and discharged, sources said.
On Monday, the 38 people, including six minors, were hospitalised at District Hospital, Thoubal and CHC Yairipok after they reported ill from consuming fermented fish and local fish in connection with Vishwakarma Puja celebration at Car Workshop Malom, Yairipok, Thoubal district, the sources said.
Following the supervision of Manipur Commission for Protection of Human Rights (MCPCR) chairperson, Ph Manibabu, a team of MCPCR members, Kh Jitendra and L Megharaj Sharma along with members of Child Welfare Committee, Thoubal visited the hospitals on Tuesday.
The food safety department had submitted a verification report to the commission, but it was not exactly confirmed to be a result of food poisoning.
