Thang-Ta day observance on theme ‘Thang-Ta for Resilience in Time of Strife’ was held at Halleey English School and Heingang kontha makha leikai model club on Tuesday.
KIMACS, in a release, stated that the event was held in continuation of the Thang-Ta Day being held in various parts of the state since Friday.
Principal of Halleey English School, Ningthoukhongjam Chaoba Meetei; president of Heingang kontha makha leikai model club, Irom Ibotomba; club advisor, Mutum Kondum; chairman of Thang-Ta observation committee, Irom Ibomcha; committee vice-chairman, Leitanthem Dhamendro; office coordinator, Arambam Tondang Meetei and KIMACS president Ningthoujam Ajitkumar Mangang were present at the event, it mentioned.
Students and inmates at relief camps also took part in the programme, it said. During the event, thang-ta artists demonstrated various techniques including Sharit-Sharak, Khonglon-Kutlon, Mihat-Mikal, Sharei-Sara etc., it added.
