Tampi Village observes Raising Day

Established on September 18, 1947, the observation marks the 77th Raising Day of the village. The village has 210 households with over 1000 population.

Tampi Village of Chakpikarong sub-division in Chandel district, Manipur observed its raising day at the village community hall on Wednesday.

Established on September 18, 1947, the observation marks the 77th Raising Day of the village. The village has 210 households with over 1000 population. It is one of the biggest Anal Naga villages.

The observation began with the flag hoisting by Sr. Nungshi, former chief and eldest chief living as of now. This was followed by a silent prayer in remembrance of the village founders and departed authority members led by present chief Lh. Mono Anal.

Rev. St. Moses WMEI led in brief history sharing cum blessing prayer for present authority members.
As part of the Raising Day, the Tampi Village Constitution was also released by Rev. St. Moses WMEI. The constitution contains the directive principles and fundamental duties of the villagers with reference to the Anal Customary Law.

Sr. Warthung, president TYC cum constitution drafting committee highlighted the contents of the constitution.

The programme was moderated by Sng Joyson and included items such as singing of Tampi Village anthem, special song by TYC executive council, Pulpit song by TSR executive members.
