The four-day long Annual Sports Meet of Tamenglong College concluded on Saturday, with Kinthuijinang Maremmei, Principal, as chief guest and Dibam Gonmei, Vice-Principal, as guest of honour of the Valedictory cum Prize Distribution function.
The Annual Sports Meet 2024 was organised October 16-19 with individual, double, mixed and group events including, football, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, chess, carom, tug-of-war, penalty shootout (for women), obstacle race, and several track and field events.
The students were divided into four houses, namely Himalayas (Green), Atlas (Red), Andes (Yellow) and Rockies (Blue).
In the Final football match played on the last day, Rockies (Blue) House defeated Himalayas (Green) House with 3-2 goal margin and won the Football Trophy. In the Women's Volleyball Final, Rockies (Blue) House defeated Atlas (Red) House to lift the Trophy. Himalayas (Green) House was declared as the overall champion of the Annual Sports Meet 2024.
It may be noted that the Opening Ceremony was graced by Colonel Aman Ahluwalia, Sena Medal, Commandant 6 Assam Rifles, as chief guest and the Principal and Vice-Principal as guests of onour. The Annual Magazine of the College was also released in the Opening Ceremony.
