Thoubal and Kakching District Apunba Lup (TAKDAL) has decided to organise a "Mass silent Sit-In-Protest" along Imphal-Moreh road on National Highway 102, at Thoubal and Kakching district area on Thursday (August 10) from 10 am till 1 pm.

In a video release on Wednesday, TAKDAL spokesperson W Jotinkumar said that the state and central government failed to bring a solution to the prevailing ethnic clash in the state which started on May 3, 2023.
Both the governments have turned a blind eye to the clash that has claimed more than 150 lives, burned houses and left more than 50,000 people displaced.
He appealed to the general public to support the protest by the people of Thoubal and Kakching district condemning the government for not taking up any steps to bring a solution to the prevailing clash.
