The second day of the training cum awareness programme for farmers organised by Diocesan Social Service Society (DSSS), Mantripukhri under its ‘Manor Unidas Project’ was held at Leipung Tampak village, Chandel district on Friday.

A release issued by Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Chandel head A Ameeta Devi stated that during the programme, CTO (SWCE), ICAR-KVK, Chandel Kangjam Sonamani Singh highlighted the various aspects of soil and water conservation which is an integral part of sustainable natural resources management and sustainable agriculture.

An interactive session was also organised in the training cum awareness programme which was attended by 47 farmers, it added.
