A combined team of commando unit Thoubal and 16th Assam Rifle apprehended two drug dealers, and seized 380 grams of suspected heroin brown sugar from Lilong in Thoubal district.
According to police, the combined team led by DSP Thoubal O Iboton Singh assisted by OC commando Thoubal inspector N Sadananda Singh under the supervision of SP Thoubal Jogeshchandra Haobijam arrested one Md Wahidur Rahman, 18, son of Md Kabir from Moreh Ward No V Md Wahidur was arrested from near Lilong Bazaar petrol pump, it added.
The combined team also apprehended one Md Syed Adeep Hussain, 26, son of Md Syed Jalaluddin from Lilong Turel Ahanbi Mathak along with 380 grams of suspected heroin brown sugar, it added. It informed that Syed Adeep was apprehended from Lilong Aliya Lamkhai.
The arrested individuals along with the seized items were handed over to Lilong police station for further necessary actions, it added.
