Summer vegetable seeds distribution programme for farmers

Summer vegetable seeds distribution programme was held in Manipur's Bishnupur district on Friday. At least 30 farmers attended the programme.

The programme was organised by Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Bishnupur district in collaboration with the state department of Horticulture and Soil Conservation, Bishnupur at KVK-Bishnupur on Friday.

As a part of the event, SMS Horticulture P Bijaya Devi and SMS-agricultural external A Tarajit Singh, conducted a training programme on scientific cultivation of cucumber, chilli and okra during summer season for higher returns.

The formation and importance of Farmers Producer Organisation (FPO) was also highlighted.
