Student appearing Class-12 exam shot dead in Kangpokpi

One student of Damdei Christian College, Taloulong was shot dead by unknown miscreants in Kangpokpi district.

In a shocking incident, a class-12 student, who was appearing in the ongoing council examinations was shot dead by unidentified miscreants in Kangpokpi district on Saturday night.

The deceased student has been identified as one 17-year-old Seigunlal Misao of Damdei Christian College, Taloulong, police said.

According to reports, two bike-borne miscreants, including a woman, shot at Misao on Saturday night around 8:30 pm.

The incident has sparked outrage in the area, with irate locals blocking NH-39 and demanding justice for the victim.

The attackers are still on the run and further probe into the matter is underway.

Manipur police have registered a case and the matter is now under investigation, police said.

Misao's untimely death has left his family and friends in shock, and the community is calling for swift action to bring justice.

Meanwhile, irate locals have blocked NH-39 at Motbung area demanding justice.

And in connection with the incident, Kuki Students Organisation (KSO) Sadar Hills vehemently condemned the incident.
