The Southern Angami Public Organization (SAPO) has intensified its total bandh within Southern Angami jurisdiction by extending it as an indefinite bandh with effect from Wednesday midnight.
The decision was taken after the Manipur government allegedly failed to withdraw its armed personnel and permanent structures within 72 hours from the Kezoltsa area, SAPO stated in a release.
During the indefinite bandh against the state of Manipur, paramilitary forces on duty, ambulance with patients, press and media, Tenyimi Public Organization (TPO) executives and its unit executives, TPO Board of Arbitrators (BoA) on production of valid document will be exempted, it mentioned.
The indefinite bandh will continue until the demands of the SAPO are met, it added.
