Sangaiprou Kabui Youth Organisation (SKYO) on Saturday organised its Golden Jubilee Celebration at Danshala ground Sangaiprou, Imphal West.
The golden jubilee celebration was organised under the theme “Enduring service towards Societal advancement”.
The function began with the unveiling of the Golden Jubilee Monolith which was followed by one minute silent prayer and paid homage to the leaders and members of SKYO.
President of Sangaiprou Kabui Youth Organisation, Gangmei Gaichungpu, told media the organisation was established on April 22, 1973 by the forefathers by registering at Cooperative Society, Government of Manipur with a vision to promote education, moral discipline and to the cultural identity conserve of the community for the upcoming youths.
As a part of the celebration, the ritual ceremony of extraction of sacred fire was conducted and lighting of candles was also done by dignitaries and village elders.
