Skill Mela 2023 organised by the District Skill Committee, Churachandpur under the Sankalp Scheme Churachandpur was held at Multipurpose Hall, Tuibong in Churachandpur on Monday.
The programme witnessed the presence of different SDOs of the district and DLOs and attended by additional DC of Churachandpur Thienlaljoy Gangte as chief guest.
COO, DDU-GKY, MSRLM Manipur Kh Bobby Singh highlighted various schemes for skill development under the government. Successful entrepreneurs of the district also talked about their success stories on the occasion to motivate the participants.
On the occasion, Thienlaljoy Gangte said, “All of us cannot be an IAS or top officers but we have one thing in common i.e. certain skills, abilities and options which can make us more productive under various schemes of the government for skills development.”
He asked all the participants, particularly the college and school students to make it a must to visit the stalls after the programme and make their choice for skills development which at the end of the day, may be their source of livelihood in the future. The chief guest, other officials and the participants inspected the stalls on the occasion.
Thienlaljoy Gangte handed out appreciation certificates to the participating teams as a part of the event where more than 25 stalls from different companies and government departments showcased their products.
