SHRI is happy to announce the remarkable achievement of Dr Moirangthem Niteshore Singh, Consultant ENT Head & Neck Surgeon, SHRI, at the 9th Annual Conference of the Indian Academy of Otorhinolaryngology Head & Neck Surgeons (IAOHNS) held at Jammu from August 4-6,2023, Takhellambam Premkumar, Deputy Manager – Business Development, said in a press release.

At the conference, Dr Niteshore presented a video demonstrating an innovative surgical procedure he recently performed at SHRI. This video was part of the competition that took place during the event and had earned him a gold medal. The conference was attended by more than 650 delegates from different parts of India, the release stated. 

In the presentation, a groundbreaking surgical technique for a patient suffering from severe respiratory problems due to paralysis of the vocal cords was highlighted. The patient had certain conditions and co-morbidity, prompting Dr. Niteshore to devise an innovative solution. This resulted in the concept design and implementation of the "KIRSANI" - Laser Transtracheal Posterior Cordectomy procedure. The name "KIRSANI" is a tribute to the esteemed mentors, Dr Milind V Kirtane from Mumbai and Dr Satish Jain from Jaipur, who guided and nurtured Dr Niteshore on his medical journey to unprecedented heights, the release said.
