The Science Unit of Zonal Education Office Tamenglong on Monday conducted 44 district level science Seminars at zonal office complex Tamenglong under the theme ‘Artificial Intelligence: Potentials and Concerns.’
Tamenglong superintendent of police Lanmiyo Luikham and zonal education officer Abonpou Christopher attended as chief guest and president respectively.
As many as 18 students from nine different schools of Tamenglong district participated in the competition.
Meanwhile, in honor of National Education Day, Tamenglong battalion of Assam Rifles COB Tamei on Monday organised a medical camp and debate competition at Hope Foundation Academy Chiang, village, Tamei Tamenglong district.
Major Mithun K Surendran, OC, BCoy, COB, Tamei 6 Assam Rifle, spoke at the event and urged everyone to pursue high-quality education and lead moral lives.
Major Mithun further claimed that receiving a good education makes it possible to support the underprivileged by connecting with the ways that Hope Foundation Society assists the underprivileged.
The topic of the debate competition was ‘Plastic should Be Banned’. The members of the jury are major Mithun K Surendran, OC, BCoy, COB, Tamei 6 Assam Rifle; Namthonbou Newmai, the Principal of the Hope Foundation Academy; Ngoukambou Abonmai, the Program Manager for the Hope Foundation Society.
A free medical camp for students was held at the same venue and about 100 students benefited. Upon arriving at the camp, two male Nursing Assistants distributed medicines for those in need. Additionally, the COB Tamei provided the students with some sports materials.
