The student community of Kangpokpi district began a sit-in-protest over the murder of Seigunlal Misao at the victim's native village Motbung in Kangpokpi district under the aegis of the JAC on Friday.
Hundreds of students from different schools within the Motbung area participated in the sit-in-protest which began in the heart of Motbung model village around 9:30 am.
The protesting students held placards and shouted slogans such as, ‘Solve the crime before it's too late’, ‘we don't feel safe anymore’, ‘arrest militant outfit NRFM’, ‘a mother's only hope, you have destroyed’, ‘no justice, no peace’, ‘justice delayed is justice denied’, ‘we condemn soulless and inhumane act’, ‘the death cry out for justice’, etc.

A student protester questioned why “the government is silent even when the culprits had already claimed responsibility.”
The government must do something to prevail justice over the murder of Seigunlal Misao as soon as possible; otherwise, the student's future will become dim, she added.
Another student appealed to the state government to bring justice at the earliest and stand firm to fight for justice.
“No reason, no excuse can justify this cold-blooded murder. We want justice for our brother Seigunlal Misao,” another student added.

Another student also said that the slain Seigunlal Misao is innocent and the allegation leveled against him as a drug peddler is baseless and the killing is condemned in the strongest terms.
According to the JAC, the sit-in protest will be carried out on Saturday in the Saparmeina area and it will simultaneously continue in various other areas as well till April 4.
