Assam Rifles has launched a comprehensive humanitarian aid initiative which includes distribution of relief materials to the residents of relief camps under their area of responsibility, offering much needed support to those who have been affected by the recent ethnic clash that has displaced and distressed thousands, the IGAR(S) said in a release.

A dedicated team of Assam Rifles personnel undertook the distribution of essential relief materials which included food items, mattresses, baby diapers etc., the IGAR(S) said.

This initiative aimed to ensure that the basic needs of the affected population were met, regardless of their ethnic or religious backgrounds. The Assam Rifles relief team worked diligently to ensure a seamless and equitable distribution process, reaching out to the most vulnerable sections of the population, the IGAR(S) said.
