Manipur Health Minister L Jayantakumar Singh on Thursday drew the attention of Union Minister of State (independent charge) for AYUSH Shripad Naik to give approval/ sanction fund for 17 health and wellness centres for two years (2019-20 and 2020-21) and for the newly proposed five health and wellness centres in the state.
Jayantakumar was attending a webinar on National Ayush Mission and AYUSH Health and Wellness Centre under the AYUSHMAN Bharat with the minister of state (Independent Charge) for AYUSH.
During the webinar, Jayantakumar highlighted the achievement of the health department in the state. The minister said that the department produced a wide telecast of a short film on Yoga to reduce stress, anxiety and restlessness caused by COVID-19.
The minister also informed that the department has conducted awareness on the role of AYUSH treatment and protection from COVID-19 by the AYUSH doctors which was telecast in various television channels. He also said that a food supplement called AYUSH Immune Plus had been developed with the financial assistance from NAM.
Hoardings and billboards on COVID-19 awareness were put up at different parts of Manipur and the same have been created for health and wellness centres in the state, the minister added.
