A grand reception cum flag hoisting of Janata Dal-United candidate Samuel Jendai was held at his residence Model village Ward No III, Tamenglong, Manipur on Monday.
JD-U district president Phungan Phaomei unfurled the JD-U flag in the presence of Samuel Jendai and his supporters, and declared the launch of his election campaign. Samuel Jendai was a BJP aspirant. Denied ticket by the BJP, he joined the JD-U.
A special prayer for Samuel Jendai's victory in the upcoming 12th Manipur Assembly Election was held. The event was attended by hundreds of supporters.
Speaking on the occasion, Samuel Jendai said delimitation is going to happen in 2026 where new districts created a few years ago without boundaries will have boundaries. As many as 17 Zeliangrong villages will be affected, including Tamenglong district, he said, urging all citizens of Tamenglong to choose a leader who can handle the issue.
Jendai also urged all his supporters not to sell their God-gifted rights and to go with a right thinking mind. He appealed to all to remove ill feelings and cast their valuable votes.
